September 1st: The BOMFF

One year ago today the first post went up on this blog and it has been a learning curve since but when I am very glad I started.

It feels right that something should be done for the occasion but I wasn’t really sure what I was going to post to commemorate it.

To that point, I’ve got some announcements.

Revealing The Secret: Supergirl (And Others)

Look. It’s not a common trend, but it’s a trend irritating enough to bug me nonetheless.

Some shows focus a lot around keeping a secret. Whether it’s for protection, out of fear, a necessity. The secret is there. They will dedicate whole episodes to reinforcing that this secret is necessary, construct season long arcs around ensuring it’s security.

All I’m saying, is that said secret should not be revealed IN THE SERIES FINALE.

Vampiric Familial Love: Hotel Transylvania

It’s spooky season, right? Not only that, it’s Halloween!

My personal dislike of scary movies leads my spooky night viewing to be a kids movie from over a decade ago. That length of time alone is scary enough. I say dislike… I don’t do scary, okay? I prefer my heart to stay within my chest, and my soul within my body. Movies should be calming, or at worst tear-inducing.

So, as with all Random Rambles installations we’re going to just dive into this one and see where it takes us.

Two Star Candles: Once Upon A Time

So, I realise I am late to this party, but in this past week, according to my fandom based socials, two things have celebrated a birthday.

As it goes with Random Rambles there is zero structure, so take a peak and dive in with me!

Oh, and this is Not Spoiler Free. It will, however, plead with you to watch it. So, if you don’t mind a lightly spoiled convincing, read right ahead. If you’ve watched it before and just want a list of reasons why you should watch it again? Fairly certain I’ve accomplished that too.
