We are a week late. I know this. I see this. I blame circumstance. It’s also the fiftieth post… and it’s just a catch-up. Nothing…
Fortnightly Fixations
As interests tend to vary so will my posts, and so welcome to Fortnightly Fixations, in which I intend to post about whatever fandom has tickled my fancy over the past two weeks. Whatever may pop up that week, I hope for it to be an interesting read, and I hope you will join me as I dive into whichever TV Show or Film may peak my interest that fortnight.
These posts may range from an update on what I’m currently watching, to an in depth review of something I recently finished. I’ll be sure to tag for spoilers, and give you a warning as they come, but this blog is likely to be far from spoiler free at most turns.
New Posts will come every other Friday.
Catch-Up #28: Laughter and Suffering
Look, it’s a blog post weekend, and I did some travelling this weekend and so to be perfectly honest… I forgot. No. Really.
My atrocious memory aside; let’s recap, shall we?
Something’s made me laugh, and I’m assuming something will make me cry. Let’s talk about.
Catch-Up #27: 9-1-1
I was all set to be written and published in time for the new episodes of 9-1-1 – at least their US release, anyways – and then I was rudely interrupted by issues of the tech variety. Nevertheless having finally remedied those I am hastily writing this on my Thursday night – and by that I mean typing up the draft I already had, so you’ll have to excuse my possibly outdated theories – and just hoping I get it out before the episode drops.
Catch-Up #26: A Mismatched Update
Okay, only a little late, so it’s fine. No problem. I had a busy weekend, but time makes itself and so here we are.
I first thought that I should do something with a love focus if not a valentines focus for this weekend, it was so perfectly timed, but now we’ve surpassed that.
Final Seasons and a Complicated Relationship: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
It’s not late.
Now that we’ve covered that, let’s discuss, shall we? See, as a result of this being not late I have finished Buffy the Vampire Slayer – with only a little procrastination as I reached the end of this wonderful masterpiece. So, we have much to discuss.
Catch-Up #25: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
It’s been a busy(ish) two weeks, we have not moved on. In fact we’ve barely made it far. I can be so much faster sometimes.
We have a little to cover and still a need to hold back until I actually finish it, but we’re still talking about BtVS and we are loving it.
So, all that said, let’s dive in.
Catch-Up #24: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
New year! 2025, and first post of the year we are kicking off with a Catch-Up. Who could’ve possibly seen that coming?
Let’s start by briefly discussing the Doctor Who Special and then move swiftly on to the topic at hand.
Murder Her For Christmas: Carmilla
Is this… sort of, vaguely, on time? Well, damn, it’s a Christmas Miracle.
Over the last week I have watched numerous cheesy Christmas films. However, at the end of this week I don’t find myself leaning towards writing about any of those.
Instead, as I thought about this post, I found myself thinking about Carmilla. So, given that this year marked 10 Years since this wonderful little webseries dropped on the internet, perhaps there is no better a festive season than this one to take a look at that lovely, short and sweet as it is, Christmas Special.
Catch-Up #23: 9-1-1 & Carmilla
Anyways, on account of… stuff… I did not finish 9-1-1 this week, and instead had to take a brief and quick detour once again into the world of Carmilla, which I’m not necessarily complaining about. I mean, c’mon, it’s Carmilla.
Nevertheless, that means we’re on Catch-Up so let’s get into this, shall we?
Catch-Up #22: Chinatown, Murders and First Responders
Late. I know. I’m working on it. Moving on.
Here’s the week in review. Catch-Up as per.
