I am a week late, but I have been just like so busy.
I’m going to pretend it was entirely intentional, though, so we can talk about THE LEGEND OF VOX MACHINA because Oh My Gods.
So, SPOILERS, obviously
With that warning aside, let’s chat!
So, I’m in tears and I hate this.
I mean I love it. This is brilliant. My excitement continues. Absolutely no faults. It’s getting me in the mood to pick up the streams again (one day I will catch up).
However, I am in tears and I hate it.
I looked forward to these episodes all week. Wednesday, the night before, I sent my friend two texts.
- I want to see “Later” animated.
- I will riot if no one kisses this season.
Now, yes, thanks to those lovely teasers we had some ideas of what to expect with this coming season but Oh My Gods.
When I say I squealed as Percy stood with that wine. We all knew what was coming. It may have not been the placement we expected, and at this point we’re far used to them shuffling stuff around for this story to be as good as it has been… we knew what Vex was gonna do. I squealed and then I was immediately not prepared for what followed.
Now putting that against Vaxleth fighting? That was uncalled for. I’m in tears and I hate it but Oh My Gods.
What did you do to them?
I know it’s been a hot minute since I watched it but did Vex hesitate in stream? I didn’t think she did, but I am not going to rewatch like hundred’s of hours to check. To my recollection, they were awkward at first, but they got smooth real fast. These two flirted over research and declared their hearts for each other. These two did it on a pile of gold, and bathtub shenanigans. They got married in secret goddamnit.
Why do we have “Later” and yet still not Them. Why was it moved up?
Now, yes I know for them, getting together came after Vorugal and before Thordak (I think) and also after Percy had died. So, hey, maybe we’re still a couple life threatening scenarios away from taking the plunge… and perhaps, narratively, it is top tier… but you gave us “Later”! I got excited! Then she hesitated! Vex hesitated!
It’s fine. I’m fine. Everything’s fine. She’ll work through this.
Now, Why does Vax carry Kiki’s angst torch now?
I swear Kiki was the one scared of that loss, scared to commit because of what she would lose and now Vax can’t do that to her?
Man was head over heels in love just waiting for her to be ready (and then briefly distancing himself because he made a deal with a goddess of death) but like c’mon!
They make each other better.
Kiki realised her thing! Why be afraid of the future? So why is Vax now afraid of the future? Matron, please get out of his head.
It doesn’t matter who it is, I can’t describe how much I dislike the “I don’t want to hurt you” excuse. It is, perhaps, my least favourite of all the excuses.

I love it so much!
This show Is Amazing. It can do no wrong. They have taken this beautiful campaign that we love and they are making something beautiful and succinct out of it and I love it. Every moment of it.
I rewatched Seasons 1 and 2 before watching Season 3 this past week and I adore it every time. It has become a comfort show of mine.
The fight with Kevdak is one of my favourites. Scanlan coming through with Mythcarver to defeat Umbrasyl! Viktor! Allura and Kima! Gilmore! The way all these important parts we love are coming together. This show is brilliant.
I love that Allura, Kima and Gilmore got to show off some of their gifts via Vox Machina related shenanigans more this season (and there’s still more episodes to come!). We saw them a bit last season, yes, but it’s always nice to see them again.
I don’t like that Kima is in danger, but I do like that the Allura and Kima relationship got a bit more focus. We did get a kiss last season, but it was good to see more of them with this last episode.
I like all the travelling we’re doing! (with titles!), and Vox Machina using Gilmore and Allura to do it like they did in the stream. Not to mention Gilmore getting roped into their mess getting them around Ank’Harel.
To Conclude
This show is brilliant and I can’t wait for more. You’ll hear all about it when the finale drops, let me tell you. I know this one was brief, but I have actually been quite busy, and have more plans upcoming. Thank you for reading, and I shall check in with you again soon.
