This past week I have… tried to watch things, I have. My focus is still taken up by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which I have been watching with a friend, which is slowing down my moving on. If I’m being honest I don’t really want to yet. This does, however, mean I haven’t really watched anything… at all.
There’s been things. Attempts. Some just utilised as background noise while I did other things. But, I have an occupied brain space, so getting into something else is yet to happen.
That said, lets dive in, shall we?
One: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Okay, look, technically I did watch it because I’m watching it with the aforementioned friend. We finally finished Season 1 this last week. She finally knows that Ward is an evil, traitorous scumbag, and I have never been so happy as to not have to keep a plot twist secret anymore in my life.
She has been advised not to read my last few posts for spoiler reasons, and as far as I know, hasn’t.
I am having a blast watching it with a friend, as much as keeping the spoilers to myself is killing me. I am excited for us to watch Season 2 and 3… and just the rest of the series in general, it’s gonna be a blast.

Two: Criminal Minds
I tried, and I mean tried, to watch Criminal Minds: Evolution. I love Criminal Minds, I do. The final episode of the new season was due to come out Friday (and has), and I thought perfect, I will watch Season 16 and 17, blog post, no problem.
However, hiccup in this plan, every time I started Season 16 I got maybe 10 minutes in and then just stopped. I did not get any further than that all week. Didn’t even get to watching a scene of JJ and she is my favourite.
So, with that plan dead in the water, what else did I attempt?
Three: Ghostbusters
Afterlife, and Frozen Empire to be specific. I watched them largely as background noise while I did stuff, but… they were entertaining. It was a nice movie night, as it were. I hadn’t seen them before, and they were pleasant enough.
I do like the cast involved, and they all did an excellent job. Having not seen all of the first Ghostbusters movies I can’t say I understood everything that was happening but it was fun. I have probably watched the first Ghostbusters, but it was so long ago I don’t remember half of what happened.
So? Fun evening.

Four: The Intern
I think I just kept seeing clips from this online and stuff, so when I saw it on prime I thought ‘why the heck not?’ It stars Anne Hathaway, after all, and I will watch her in just about everything.
It went on for longer than I expected but it was hardly a waste of my time. It was very sweet, calming, and allowed me to work on other things while it played. I had a good two hours.
Five: The Orville
I think I watched like four episodes.
I put it on after I finished The Intern, after like half an hour of scrolling for something to watch. I just wanted something to play while I did stuff, and I’ve watched The Orville before, I know it’s good, I know it’s funny so I put this on.
And it was good and funny until I got bored and wanted something else.
Believe me I don’t think I got bored because The Orville is boring, it’s very very good actually, and doesn’t even lack for rewatch value. It’s just me at the moment, I can’t get into anything. I do recommend watching The Orville, though, it is very much worth it. Space adventures aren’t often my thing, and I quite enjoyed this one when I first watched it so, it’s worth your time… and it’s not even overly long.
It did have an AOS cast member in common with Adrianne Palicki… which I think is part of the reason I put it on again now. It did not help keep me focused here.

Six: Descendants
Look, I spent a not insignificant portion of my childhood watching these and so they remain a somewhat guilty pleasure of mine when I want something… simple… and fun.
Simple and fun I usually put on something musical anyway so why not turn to Disney channel and rewatch some DCOM’s?
Descendants is still fun and happy for me, so it’s logical.
Unfortunately, my WiFi was not agreeing and after one too many freezes I gave up and never finished the movie. Dissappointing because it is a fun one as far as I’m concerned. Though, I refuse to watch the new one.
And I do believe that concludes everything I tried and failed to watch this week.

To Conclude
I feel thanks is significantly relevant to give out this week. I don’t know how fun a read this was, if at all, so thanks for sticking to the end if you did.
A Fortnightly Fixations is incredibly hard to write when I have not fixated on anything… or at least, have not moved on from the thing I’m still fixated on… erm…
Thank you, for sticking with this.
I wanted to make sure this one went out at least before the end of the weekend, to get me back on track seen as I’ve been a week behind for a few weeks now. With it going out somewhat on time, though, that does mean you will see me again for a Random Rambles scheduled to go out on Wednesday. It has been written for awhile, and is now scheduled to post. So, look out for that.
Until then, thank you for reading.
